Prayer can help you strengthen your faith, trust, and relationship with the divine source. You can pray for as long as you want, but even a few minutes can make a difference. You can use a prayer book, such as The Book of Common Prayer or The Power of a Praying Woman, or you can pray on your own, by following these steps:
    • Find a comfortable and quiet place to kneel, stand, or sit, either with your hands clasped, or raised or on your heart.
    • Close your eyes, or lower your gaze, and relax your body and face.
    • Address the divine source, either by name, or by a title, such as God, Lord, or Father.
    • Express your gratitude for the blessings, opportunities, and challenges in your life, and thank the divine source for them.
    • Express your requests for yourself, your loved ones, and the world, and ask the divine source for guidance, protection, and provision.
    • Express your praises for the attributes, actions, and promises of the divine source, and acknowledge the divine source’s power, love, and faithfulness.
    • End your prayer with a closing phrase, such as Amen, So be it, or In your name.
  • Affirmation: Affirmation is the practice of stating positive and empowering statements, either verbally or silently, and affirming your identity, values, and goals. Affirmation can help you boost your confidence, motivation, and self-esteem. You can affirm for as long as you want, but even a few minutes can make a difference. You can use an affirmation app, such as ThinkUp or Affirmations, or you can affirm on your own, by following these steps:
    • Find a comfortable and quiet place to stand, sit, or lie down, either with your eyes open, or closed, or in front of a mirror.
    • Choose a few affirmations that resonate with you, and that reflect your identity, values, and goals, such as:
      • I am a child of God, and I am loved, accepted, and forgiven.
      • I am a powerful and creative being, and I can achieve anything I set my mind to.
      • I am a compassionate and generous person, and I can make a positive difference in the world.
    • Repeat your affirmations, either verbally or silently, and feel the emotions and sensations that they evoke in you.
    • Visualize your affirmations as if they are already true, and imagine the outcomes and benefits that they bring to you.

You can practice mindful listening for as long as you want, but even a few minutes can make a difference. You can use a listening app, such as SoundScape or Awareness, or you can practice mindful listening on your own, by following these steps:
    • Find a comfortable and quiet place to sit, stand, or lie down, either with your eyes open or closed or on your ears.
    • Choose a sound that you want to listen to, such as music, nature, or silence, and bring your attention to it.

You can use a feeling app, such as MoodKit or Emotions, or you can practice mindful feeling on your own, by following these steps:
    • Find a comfortable and quiet place to sit, stand, or lie down, either with your eyes open or closed or on your heart.
    • Choose an emotion that you want to feel, such as joy, sadness, or anger, and bring your attention to it.
    • Feel the emotion with curiosity, openness, and acceptance, and notice the thoughts, sensations, and impulses that it evokes in you.
    • Whenever your mind wanders, gently bring it back to the emotion, without judging yourself or the emotion.
    • Continue this process for as long as you want, and notice how you feel.
